The British Virgin Islands can be found in the Caribbean. The main islands of this archipelago are Tortola, Anegada, Jost Van Dyke, and Virgin Gorda, while there are over 50 smaller islands as well. Overall, about 16 islands are inhabited, with a population of around 39,000, most of which live on Tortlola.
The Islands Are Heavily Dependent on Tourism
Nearly half of the British Virgin Islands’ income comes from tourism. The archipelago is extremely popular due to the many white sand beaches, the spectacular reefs, and the entertaining night life. Of course, it is also popular for the lovely weather that it has all year round. For instance, the coldest temperature recorded here is 16 degrees Celsius, while the highest is 36 degrees Celsius. As you can see, it doesn’t get unbearably hot nor intolerably cold.
The Nicest of the Islands is Virgin Gorda
Virgin Gorda is known for having some of the best beaches and coral reefs in the archipelago. If you are enthusiastic about snorkeling or diving, this is the island that you need to go to. Also, if you love to fish, you will find some of the best fishing off the coast of Virgin Gorda.
Furthermore, once you have worked up an appetite, there are plenty of fantastic restaurants that you can go and satisfy your hunger at for very reasonable prices.
